is run by two of the company’s founders, Linda Triggiani and Emanuela Melotti.
Beforehand, the two partners had lengthy experience as textile buyers at an international company.

The C’è un mondo shop first opened its doors in March 2006. It was the first fair trade
clothes shop in Italy – at the time, most European fair-trade retailing was centred on food –
and it has been a leading fair-trade retailer ever since.
What makes us special
C’è un mondo is well known for its fashion flair. Our clothes and accessory collections have
increased considerably over the years and feature not only superb fair-trade items, but also
many creations designed and manufactured entirely in Italy. These are made with upcycled
fabrics by companies that employ disadvantaged women. Needless to say, we also have a
fine collection of traditional fair-trade articles made from the finest organic cotton or hand-
loomed fabrics and crafted in Far East and South Asia countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh
and India.
While C’è un mondo prides itself on the variety of its fashion items, all of them have key
